Champion System, a leader in custom technical apparel, is proud to launch a new UCI Professional Continental Team registered in the People's Republic of China (PRC) in the 2012 season.
This 18-25 member team will be the first Asian-based UCI Professional Continental Team featuring Asia's best cyclists on an international roster. The team will be composed of top riders from China & Asia as well as experienced European & Anglo professionals.
One of the primary goals of the team is to allow Asia's top cyclists to compete at the highest level of the sport. Until now opportunities for Asian racers to compete in major international competitions have been rare. Champion System Pro Cycling Team will now pave the way. We are convinced Asian racers have the potential to be competitive in international premier races if given the opportunity.
Besides racing in the major UCI tours in Asia, the team will also compete in professional tours in Europe and the U.S. with the goal to develop Asian-based World and Olympic champions.
The competition calendar will concentrate on a traditional European race schedule as well as major events in USA, Asia and Australia. The team will compete in over 100 professional races across the world in countries such as China, United States, France, Germany, Canada, Belgium, Italy, United Kingdom, Taiwan, Australia, Japan, Korea and Malaysia for 10 months out of the year.
Our season will begin with a press conference and a training camp on Jan 11. Following the training camp, a team of 8 riders will travel to Qatar where the season will officially begin with the prestigious Tour of Qatar (2.HC).
Our two service courses are based in Belgium and North America.
